Advisory Notice: Manual Override

The manual override feature within the Unity platform allows a client to change the status of a pending age verification so a manual check by a client can be performed and logged.

As AgeChecked does not have control of the manual verification process that a client will undertake, AgeChecked cannot take any responsibility as to the veracity of the check.

Such checks would not be covered within AgeChecked’s Coordinated Partnership scheme, nor do the certifications that AgeChecked hold cover age verifications that are recorded in the Unity platform, but which are performed by the client.

We advise our clients who wish to use this service to document the process adopted for the manual verification and maintain a record and appropriate supporting evidence.
